Youth Ministry
An essential element in the
development of a church planting movement is developing and
sending a new generation of leaders. A vital youth ministry
is a particularly fruitful place for such leadership
development to occur.
Biblically based youth
ministries in a local church allows for the opportunity for
young believers to be identified, encouraged, equipped and
mobilized to become leaders within the youth group, the
local church, and ultimately for the global church.
***** desires to participate
with other local churches and parachurch ministries in the
development of a vision for how the youth can be developed
for future leadership and how this vision can be
communicated to the emerging leaders.
College Ministry
A critical element in the
development of church planting movements both here in the
United States and in the global church is the winning and
equipping of college and university students on campuses
around the world. Many of the future leaders of local
churches pass through the colleges and universities located
here in America.
Today there are approximately
10 million students in North America and 520,000
international students, from over 180 nations, are presently
attending American universities and colleges. The
potential to touch the world with the power of the gospel is
within the reach of many local churches. Some of these
international students will be returning to countries which
are virtually closed to the traditional model of missions.
It is of critical importance
that leadership be developed in these college ministries and
that these emerging leaders be allowed to gain practical
leadership experience in supported settings so they can
become the leaders of the future. |
