There are over 6 billion people with 6700 different languages on our
planet and there are millions of Christians & non-Christians have no
access to even a portion of God’s word! It is possible to find
churches that have no Christian materials in their language; no
Scriptures, no JESUS Film, and no Christian radio broadcasts. There
is a tremendous lack of books in many countries in the world and
this is impacting the rapidly exploding
growth of the church in Third World countries. This lack of
Christian literature resources is one of the biggest spiritual
problems existing today in many parts of World A around the world.
This is especially true overseas where libraries are unavailable and
solid evangelical books and materials are hard or impossible to
purchase. And, even if there are Bible study materials and
other resources available many cannot buy them because of economic
crises, currency restrictions and other factors.
A
critical element in a church planting movement is the availability
of literature written and produced within the cultural setting.
In the past these types of materials were normally provided in
either English or translated works in the of the people. But,
the time has come for the leadership of the church from around the
world to be trained and assisted in the writing of culturally
relevant Bible related materials for their own people.
***** desires to assist these believers by participating in the
development of indigenous writers and local publishing of Bible
study books, theological books, training materials, tracts,
journals, and related media useful in pastoral and lay leadership
training to the church. |
