Global Ministry Program
Mission:
Mobilizing ***** to participate in the development of
spiritual and working partner relationships for the development and
strengthening of indigenous church planting movements around the
world.
The heart of the
Global Ministry program at ***** is the development of partner
relationships with church planting movements around the world.
Therefore, the evaluation of ministry opportunities will be based on
their involvement with the development, strengthening, or on-going
work with a church planting movement.
Strategies:
Church Planting Movements --
The primary strategy is to facilitate
indigenous Church Planting Movements [CPM] so that communities,
cities, and nations are saturated with the Gospel. The primary
emphasis of the other ministry strategies is to support this
endeavor through the development of ministry skill sets in
leadership, Bible study materials, material resources through small
business opportunities, compassion ministries, and future leadership
for the church.
A focus of ***** is to work with
indigenous ministries working in the 10-40 Window or World
A, where most of the unevangelized live. Most of these people
are Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, or animists who live in countries
that are hostile toward foreign missionary activity. Nations like
India, China, Laos — and the Islamic-dominated countries of Northern
Africa and the Middle East — are closed to traditional
cross-cultural missionaries and church planters.
Church Leadership Development
-- The heart of a CPM is the equipping of local church pastoral
and lay leadership on both a formal and informal level. The
ministry is most effectively done by trained men and women within
their cultural contexts.
Publishing / Bible Study
Resources -- The accessibility of good Bible study materials is
essential for the development of indigenous leadership with a CPM.
Translation of materials offers a partial solution to this need, but
a truly indigenous CPM means that indigenous writers are equipped
and provision is made for the publishing of materials within the
cultural context.
Micro-Financing Ministries --
The long term reproducibility of a CPM necessitates that the
ministries receive their primary financial support from sources
within their culture. The development of micro-financing project
helps indigenous churches evangelize their business communities,
disciple Christian business people and develop Christian businesses.
Compassion Ministries --
God has commanded his children to minister to the needs of both the
family of God and to the world around us as He has provided the
means and opportunity. We are moved with compassion for those
in need and participate with them through various compassion
ministries.
University / Youth Ministries
-- The future success of any CPM rests with the development of
the next generation of leadership. It is only as the church
invests in the youth and young adults of the culture that they can
provide for the future of the church and the movement.
Vocational Missionary -- God
has set apart certain of His children to minister vocationally in
ministry settings which are not able to provide their own funding.
***** desires to enter into partnership with these ministries as a
means of extending their ministry to those in need. |
