Identify target group

  • Who is to be served by the ministry? 

  • But needs are to be met? 

  • What is the situation of the larger Christian community? 

  • What needs assessment research is available for needed? 

Defined program

  • What is the ministry’s strategic vision?

  • What are the ministry’s goals and objectives? 

  • What is their approach to ministry? 

  • How effective has the ministry been? 

  • What are the credentials and experience of the leaders? 

  • What does the ministry do well?  What are its strengths? 

  • What does the ministry do poorly?  What are its weaknesses? 

Describe partner organization

  • How is the ministry structured? 

  • What is its official/legal status? 

  • What are its basic policies? 

  • Who are the board of directors and what roles do they fill? 

  • What relationship does the ministry have with other war game is a shunts and churches? 

  • What means of accountability does the ministry demonstrate? 

Determine financial status

  • What financial records are available to assess past performance? 

  • What ability thus the ministry have to provide financial reports? 

  • What are the sources of income?

  • What is the philosophy of ministry? 

  • How do their actions demonstrate their beliefs? 

  • How does the ministry’s strategic vision fit with our priorities? 

Identify desired outcomes

  • What does the ministry expect of us? 

  • What can we reasonably expect to achieve? 

  • What will happen if we do not get involved? 

Consider alternatives

  • Should a different ministry reach out to the target group? 

  • Should a different organization collaborate with this ministry? 

  • What strategic alliances could benefit the ministry? 

  • What capability do we have to serve the ministry? 

  • What other proposed programs might take priority over this program? 

Assessed overall situation

  • What are the external opportunities and threats? 

  • What are the internal strengths and limitations?[1]
