It is a long-term alliance
of two or more organizations that share complementary gifts and
abilities to achieve a common purpose. This kind of partnership
is defined as a relationship between ministries and people who
share common aspirations, strive to achieve them together, and
do so in a spirit of cooperation and brotherly love. By this
definition, partnership involves making the partner an extension
of your own ministry
What is a developmental partnership?
If development is growth in its self-developing capabilities, and partnership is the mutual sharing
of resources for a common goal, then a developmental partnership
in Christian ministry is a cooperative relationship between two
autonomous bodies whereby each enables the other to grow in its
capacity to initiate and carry out change for the sake of the
gospel.
Developmental and all partnerships have
three characteristics in common: results, relationship, and
vision.
Results describe a partnership’s
capacity to deliver tangible outcomes
Relationship is the means by which
trust, communication, and collaboration are made possible.
Vision is a compelling picture of
what the partnership can achieve and how it is going to get
there. [1]

1 Cor. 12:12-13 For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. 13 For also by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free, even all were made to drink into one Spirit.
